GROOMING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Conditions under which pets are accepted for grooming are as follows:

The pet is fit and healthy. Grooming of sick or elderly pets is entirely at owner’s risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems for which we cannot be held liable.

The pet is vaccinated and up to date. An unvaccinated pet puts itself and others at risk.

It must be clearly understood and agreed that whilst every care and attention is given to your pet(s) they are accepted at the owner’s risk. Our first concern is for the welfare of your pet so in the event of injury or illness, a vet may be called in and unless it can be clearly shown that we are liable, all costs in connection with and in the carrying out of his instruction, shall be at the owner’s expense. We recommend pet insurance.

Payment will be made on collection of the pet. Estimates are based on an average pet of the breed or type but owners must remember that some pets will require extensive extra work and that this will be charged for on an hourly basis and owners must collect pets at the time stated. Uncollected pets (Past one hour since notification) will be charged a sitting fee of £5 per hour (charge does not include any food or walks). If you do not collect your dog 1 hour past closing time a £50 charge for sitting will be applied to your bill). If we do not hear from you 6 hours past your appointment time we have the reserve the right to contact Erewash Borough Council's department of animal wardens to arrange collection of your animal. Any charges incurred by this are the sole responsibility of owner.

Shaving of pets will dramatically change their appearance and the hair will be very short and close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin complaints. Your Verbal and/or written permission will be required to shave off a matted coat.

De-matting of a coat will only be undertaken with the consent of the owner and de-matting fees will be applied to the final pricing of the groom. £10 per 15 minutes of de-matting time.

We reserve the right to refuse a pet that presents a risk of injury to itself or staff.

Under no circumstances do we accept sedated pets.

We require 24 hours notice for cancelling an appointment or we will charge accordingly (if you are 15 minutes late then the appointment will be cancelled, a late fee will be applied and future appointments may need to be booked with a deposit)

Please be on time or you may have to rebook another appointment and a charge may be added

For certain breeds we may require a 10% deposit from new customers.

IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY WITH YOUR GROOM OR THE SERVICE YOU HAVE RECEIVED, CORRECTIONS WILL ONLY BE FREE OF CHARGE ON THE BASIS THAT WE ARE NOTIFIED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE DOG BEING COLLECTED AND AT THE MANAGERS DISCRETION.

These do not affect your statutory rights.
